Inspired by the quote, “Plant seeds of beautiful ideas in your mind, water them with belief and action,” this second installment of my Ori series shifts from a societal lens to a personal one. While building on the original concept of ori as consciousness and destiny, this piece explores self-nurture and intentional growth through an Afrocentric framework. The cowrie shell represents the seed, water appears as a motif of nourishment, and the blue hand symbolizes self-healing. Fluid blues and greens move through the internal skeletal form, while flowers emerge from the ori, visualizing the growth that occurs when the mind is cared for by oneself.
